Welcome to our FAQ, we are so happy to have you here and as a client.
We have tried to answer the most common questions.
Q: How do I use a probe to ensure that the measured temperature is accurate?
A: To ensure the most accurate readings during testing, insert the probe into the thickest part of the meat, avoiding the bone. If cooking thinner cuts of meat (such as steaks or burger patties), insert the probe horizontally from the side; inserting it vertically downward may cause the tip to touch the bottom of the pan or the grill surface, resulting in an inaccurate reading. Wait for the reading: allow a few seconds for the temperature display to stabilize.
Q: Will the signal work inside my smoker or oven?
A: Yes, the signal works inside most smokers and ovens. For best results, we suggest you to keep the host close by, as thick metal walls may reduce the range.
Q: Why is the transmission range of my barbecue thermometer shorter than advertised?
A: Please note that obstacles like walls, doors, or tight corners may reduce the wireless range.
Q: How do I turn it on or off?
A: You could long press the power button for about 3 seconds to turn on or off the host, and you could click the power button to turn the screen on/off during use.
Q: Why won't my probe charge?
A: Check the probe, if the surface is dirty, clean it with a dry cloth before docking; Check the charging slot, if debris in it, remove obstructions; If probe isn't inserted all the way, press it down firmly.
Q: Why does host alarm suddenly?
A: Check battery power of the probe. If the battery power is low, please charge it in time.
Q: Probe lose connection to host?
A: Check the LCD screen for both probe and host battery status, the signal might weaken if either is low on battery; Move the host closer to the probe.Signal strength might weaken if the probe is submerged in liquid or if the oven is too thick for signal transmission.
Q: How long does the battery last?
A: For the probes, a full charge lasts up to 36 hours of use, and the base gets 120+ hours power standyby after a fully charges in 2-3 hours.
Q: Can I use any probes at a time?
A: Yes, you can use any probes, and the host will display the temperature from the corresponding probes.
Q: What's the accuracy of the probe?
A: The probe is NIST certified ±0.5° precision and 0.01°F resolution, giving you professional-grade precision for perfect doneness everytime.
Q: What are the use cases for this wireless thermometer?
A: Perfect for various cooking scenarios such as grilling, smoking, baking, and outdoor roasting.
